Favorite Verse and Quotation:

Verse: "Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."  - Phillipian 4:6-7

Quote: "We cannot all do great things. But we can do small things with great love." - Mother Teresa

Why I Teach:

I love working with children, either through the school or coaching!  God tells us in Matthew 18:2-4 that "...unless you turn and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven..."  Our children are the closest thing to heaven we have with us on this Earth and each and every one of them should be treated with the dignity and respect as such.

Education and Training:

I have a bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture from Texas A&M University. I have worked off and on with children of various ages either through a daycare setting (high school) or hosting confirmation retreats (high school, college and while professionally working) with church retreat teams for a large portion of my life.

Where I Have Lived:

I grew up in East Texas in a tiny town called Yantis.  After living in College Station to obtain my degree, I moved to Houston where I lived for about 5 years before settling down in Murphy, Texas.

My Professional Experience:

I worked as a project assistant for 5 years with TBG Partners in Houston, Texas. I participated in the design development, construction documents and project installation phases of master planned communities, mixed use developments, hospital healing gardens and hospitality projects all over the states.

My Family:

I married my husband, Adam, in June of 2007.  We have 3 very busy girls, Abigail (7th grade), Emma (5th grade) and Cate (1st grade) that keep us on our toes and on the go between all of their extracurricular activities.  We also have a fluffy white dog named Cooper that helps round out our home!

Something you might not know about me:

Something most may not know about me is that I'm a 1/4 Chinese.  My grandfather was born and raised in Canton, China.

My Prayer for My Students:

I pray that the Lord will use me to be His light and words to all students that come across my path. I pray that they know His love for them, each and everyday, and that knowledge of His love will drive their ambition to live a fruitful life that glorifies Him in all aspects.
